Meeting Members of this Great City

I had a fun week – busy, but fun – meeting lots of people all over this great city.   On Sunday, I spent time at the Community Garden at Orange Blossom Park.  It’s a beautiful spot and it’s beautiful to see so many cross sections from the community come together and build something from the ground up with their hands.

I started off the day Thursday with an interview at the Civic League followed by a visit to some residents at Pines of Sarasota.  Our debates were lively and stimulating!  I could have spent the whole day there, but I had to get over to Michael’s on East in time for Tiger Bay.  There’s always something new to learn there and the room is typically full of movers and shakers from around the community.

Friday morning the Sarasota Chamber conducted candidate interviews and Saturday morning the CCNA held their candidate meet-and-greet.

It takes a lot of stamina to run for office, but you meet so many nice people.  I love walking the neighborhoods.  That’s where I really get to learn what’s on peoples’ minds.  If you have a group you’d like me to address, you can post a speaker request at the contact form on the website.  There’s also a comment area where you can sound off.  Please let me hear from you!  Suzanne
